Organisation
Organisation is key when it comes to planning your perfect wedding in a few months. First off, make a list of all the must-haves such as your cake, flowers, bride/groom etc. Having it written down will help you to work on each bit and once it is completed you can tick it off. (It also gives you the opportunity to buy that cute stationery you’ve been eyeing up in paperchase!). Keep all emails and communication for your wedding in a separate folder so you can keep track of all invoices and timings for the day, this means no stressful conversations or sleepless nights worrying about what you have and have not paid.

Don’t dismiss the Highstreet
When it comes to weddings, people sometimes seem to think they need to go to specialist suppliers to create the perfect day. Although this is a great way to go about it, as you are working with people skilled in their field, if you have a limited amount of time, the Highstreet can provide everything you need. An example of this is the wedding cake, Marks & Spencer’s have a fantastic choice of wedding cakes and all can be collected from store in 21 days of your order. They also have Collin the caterpillar weddings cakes for the less traditional of you all. (Who doesn’t love a Collin?!). Get your bridesmaids dress/suits off the rack. There is no need to order your bridesmaids dresses months in advance just for someone to change dress size two weeks before the wedding. Make a day of it, take the girls/boys out for the day and shop till you drop!!

Use your loved ones
Now I don’t mean use them as your personal assistant coming up to the wedding, but people love to be involved in a wedding so why not use that to your advantage? Give people an area to look after, for example, get your most creative friend to create your centrepieces, this means one less thing for you to organise and do on your big day (more getting ready time). Instead of gifts why not ask your friends and family for a hand on the big day? Have an “organise my wedding” party and ask everyone to take responsibility for one thing. You get your dream wedding and your guests don’t have to buy a gift.

Relax
Last but certainly not least… relax!! The most important part of the day is marrying the person you love and nothing else matters. You don’t need to have the most extravagant wedding to make it a day to remember, it’s all about the love.
